So I'm officially repeating my thesis next term. My group and I weren't able to reach the deadline. In fact, we were nowhere near being able to pass it. I've pretty much resigned myself to it.

The hard part is explaining this to my parents.

The small consolation I get from this though? I have awesome friends like this guy to be there to cheer me up.

I can't. I'm stuck with these guys until the very end. And they're already my second group. If I change groups that means I'd need to change topics which means another year of school. I don't want that...

Technically, we're already done save for some possible changes our advisor may have with the documentation. I already asked them if we could have an early defense as opposed to a regular one so we would be done and over with things earlier.

Hopefully we don't screw up this time around. Thesis truly is the bane of my existence. Why is it a requirement to graduate? /faceinhands

School really is a pain. .__. Especially because I've been stuck in college for 6 years.

I like being in college when thesis and programming is not involved. I'd like my floating subjects again please. Even the stupid ones like French. Or Game Design.

Man, I'm sorry you have to repeat your thesis again. ;_; And I feel you on having to explain to your parents. It was bad enough for me telling my parents I'd failed a test, I can't imagine explaining not passing a thesis. orz Even if none of it was at all your fault.

I'm hoping that the work you've done thus far on it will at least help a little bit?

Honestly, I've become desensitized to my own academic failures because this is not the first time but when I know it disappoints my parents? That's what makes this disheartening.

As I've said to Mei, we're actually practically done so... yeah, there's that at least. We'll just have to pass it early and defend it early. So on and so forth.
